Baidu has been sued by Jinri Toutiao for unfair competition

1 月 29 日晚间，坐拥2.3亿月活跃用户的今日头条母公司字节跳动正式宣布起诉百度。

Beijing ByteDance Technology, which runs the Jinri Toutiao app that had 232 million monthly active users as of December last year, said that it filed the lawsuit against Baidu. 

原因是对方涉嫌利用其垄断地位进行“不正当竞争”，严重误导用户，并对相关公司和机构的声誉造成伤害。

ByteDance said Baidu used its “monopoly advantage” to mislead users and damage Toutiao’s reputation.

Weibo’s hot topic suspended after criticized

1月27日，国家互联网信息办公室指导北京市互联网信息办公室责令新浪微博针对对用户发布违法违规信息未尽到审查义务进行整改。

January 27,  Sina Weibo has been asked by the Internet regulator to overhaul sections that carry "harmful content".

公告中指出新浪微博持续传播炒作导向错误、低俗色情、民族歧视等违法违规有害信息的严重问题，并约谈该企业负责人，责令其立即自查自纠，全面深入整改。

" The problems were serious ，Content of wrong public opinion orientation, obscenity, low taste, and ethnic discrimination continued to spread on Sina Weibo," said a statement issued by the office.

Super Mario ready for leap into anime film

2月1日，日本任天堂官方正式确认将与环球影业旗下制作了《神偷奶爸》的照明娱乐（Illumination Entertainment）公司合作，推出马里奥动画电影。

February 1, Japan's Nintendo said it was working on an anime movie starring its iconic video game character Super Mario in collaboration with the US studio behind the Despicable Me series.

《华尔街日报》去年11月报道了这一合作，但这是任天堂第一次证实。

 The Wall Street Journal reported the partnership last year, but this is the first time Nintendo has confirmed the news.

苹果发布新财报：销量同比下滑

iPhone sales numbers dipped slightly

iPhone X发布后销量低于预期，截至2月2日，苹果发布新财报，iPhone上季度的的销量为7900万部，同比减少近100万台。

The last quarter wasn’t entirely rosy for Apple. During today’s earnings report, the company posted sales of 77.3 million iPhones, down just under a million from this time last year.

不过得益于iPhone X的高利润，整体营收实现13%的增长，达615.76亿美元，去年同期为543.78亿美元。

But despite the slump in sales, iPhone revenue increased, up 11.69 percent from $54.38 billion to $61.58 billion.
