Tencent signs broad cultural deal with Britain

5月9日，腾讯与英国国际贸易部在伦敦签署战略合作备忘录，宣布在文化创意领域开展广泛合作，以数字化手段助力文化创意行业的快速发展。

May 9, Tencent has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UK's Department for International Trade to work closely in the cultural and creative fields.

合作协议签署后，腾讯将陆续与英国旅游局、英国广播公司（BBC）、英国时尚协会、施普林格·自然集团等多家知名机构及企业展开合作，推进一揽子项目落地。　

It will cover digital, cultural and creative projects with the BBC, British Fashion Council, Visit Britain, the country’s tourist promotion board, and technical publisher Springer Nature.

5月3日，寒武纪公司创始人兼CEO陈天石博士在上海介绍了云智能芯片MLU100。周四，中国科学院(CAS)在上海发布了中国首个云人工智能芯片。

由寒武纪开发的云端AI芯片MLU100具有准确、快速的大数据处理能力，特别是在图像和语音搜索方面。

The cloud chip MLU100, developed by Cambricon Technology, will have accurate and fast big data processing ability, especially in image and voice search methods.

Google Assistant wowed us with lifelike voices

5月9日，谷歌在加州山景城召开一年一度的谷歌I/O大会。在会议上，谷歌展示了其最新升级的谷歌语音助手，并宣布很快能接受预约并及时上线。

May 9，Google held its annual I/O conference in mountain view, California. The company announced that Assistant will soon be able to make appointments and reservations for people.

在一次演示中，谷歌展示了谷歌语音助手如何打电话给美发沙龙，并与电话另一端的人预约好时间。

In a demonstration, Google showed how the Assistant can call a hair salon and book an appointment with the person on the other end of the line.
